Steven Galloway & Saxy Wednesday

Steven G.

Steven Galloway is starting to become a Greenwood icon. Having him play his saxophone every Wednesday in the Fox and Hound Lounge has become our regulars’ weekly hangout go-to. He went to Lander University, right here in Greenwood, and credits his professor for influencing him to jazz. (Thanks, professor!) The Index Journal wrote a great article about Steven’s talent and even mentions our Bar Manager, Nic Massey. (After playing with Steven, Nic insisted he be our weekly jazz act.) We thank you, Steven, for playing for us each week! You make our Saxy Wednesday super saxy! (Don’t forget we have $1.00 oysters every week, too!)

“You must stop by the Carriage House Restaurant”

Just Peachy Blogger, Rachel Regal, had the opportunity to visit our quaint uptown area over the summer. She then wrote about her experience. Being from Atlanta and a fashionista, we were sure she would find some greatness in our town. We, at the Inn, are fortunate in that we get to host awesome traveling writers in our beautiful hotel, thanks to the ladies at the Old 96 District Tourism Commission. We appreciate you helping the Inn get its name out there to otherwise unknown travelers!

Ok, back to Just Peachy. Rachel was able to experience our Fryday Fish Special:  “If you’re in Greenwood on a Friday night, you must stop by the Carriage House restaurant at Inn on the Square, right in Uptown Greenwood. “Fryday” means you can get a huge plate of fresh fish (shrimp, cod, catfish, etc.) plus a potato, plus coleslaw, plus dessert for less than $10!” Whoa! Thank you, Rachel, for telling your followers how great of a deal it really is! It is the best in town! (You will not see Outback offering anything like it!) After enjoying our Fryday, she got to experience the Topiaries & Tasting Wine Walk, Festival of Flowers, The Mill House’s awesome pizza, shopping Uptown Greenwood and Emerald Farms before heading north to Greenville. Here is her entire entry. Read it.

Thanks again, Rachel, for enjoying our hotel & beautiful Uptown area. Please let us know when you can visit again!

Topiaires & Wine Tasting

We had an amazing turn out for the Festival of Flowers Topiaires & Tasting Wine Walk. Thanks for everyone who participated in the Last Glass Party!

The Wannabeatles stayed with us!

HUGE thanks to our friend & videographer, Sam Thomas, for recording & uploading this awesome video of The Wannabeatles serenading our guests in the lobby the night they performed at the Uptown Market. What a nice treat!

Uptown Greenwood’s Uptown Live on Thursday, June 2nd brought in a crowd favorite! The Beatles tribute band, The Wannabeatles, performed for music lovers at the new Uptown Market for the kick off event of Festival of Flowers. We had the pleasure of hosting the band at the Inn on the Square! Dennis Scott was the first to arrive and was greeted with kindness and helpfulness from our staff. We appreciate them staying with us and look forward to their return! Have a safe trip back to Nashville, guys! We love you, too, yeah, yeah, yeah!

“This cozy boutique hotel is the quintessential way to start your trip in the south.”

Exploring South Carolina: An Agricultural Adventure

Click above to read about another beautiful guest who blogged about her stay with us and her adventure exploring the agriculture scene in and around Greenwood, SC. She mentions the Inn on the Square numerous times and shows how delicious our Bourbon Bacon Cheesecake is (made in house by our talented Pastry Chef). We were so thrilled to find out we were mentioned in Luisa’s Blog: Peaches to Pearls, Food meets Fashion. Thank you, thank you, Luisa, for staying with us and your kind words! Please come back to see us when you’re in Greenwood again!

“Karen and I fell in love with Inn on the Square”

Road Trip: Lake Greenwood South Carolina

Take a look at how amazing our guests are! We had the pleasure of having Captain Ron Presley and his wife stay & dine at the Inn on the Square. They were a pleasure to serve and hope to have them back with us as soon as possible! Click the link above to read his article on his fun fishing trip to Lake Greenwood and how much enjoyed his stay with us!
